01 / Read, decide, post
The software reads. You decide.
a / Read
Read by a parser, then made to add up
OptiVida's own parser reads the file, with no AI, and checks the lines add up before you see them.
- Password protected PDFs open, and the password is not stored
- Running balance, printed totals and missing pages checked
- Where the bank prints no totals, it says so

b / Decide
Suggestions that start from your own decisions
Each line tries your past decision, then a rule, then AI. AI picks only from the company's own ledger list, or declines.
- Remembered per client and bank account, and only what you approved
- One choice fills every similar line
- Nothing posts until you approve it
- 01A previous decisionYou approved a line like this before
- 02A ruleExactly one ledger answers to it
- 03AIFrom the company's own list, or declined
Then you approve
c / Post
Post twice and it still posts once
The connector checks what Tally already holds for those dates and skips any line already there, so a retry never doubles a voucher.
- Receipt, Payment or Contra, worked out for you
- Nothing sent if another company is open in Tally
- A failed line returns with its reason, ready to retry
- Both ledgers exist, by exact name
- The voucher type exists
- The two legs balance to the paise
- The date is not before the books begin
02 / Before you start
Windows, Tally open, and a digital statement
The Tally connector runs on Windows and must be running with the client's company open in Tally.
It does not
- Create ledgers or any other Tally master
- Read scanned or photographed statements
- Split a line, or make Journal, Sales or Purchase vouchers
- Delete or reverse a voucher it posted; do that in Tally
03 / Everything in the box
OptiLedger, item by item
If it is listed here, it is in the product today.
01Reading the statement7 items
- PDF, Excel (.xlsx, .xls) or CSV, up to 25 MB
- Password locked PDFs: the password opens the file once and is not stored
- Read by OptiVida's own parser, with no AI in extraction
- Excel exports with the amount in one column and Dr or Cr in another
- Account number masked to its last four digits
- Hover a narration for the full bank text and its page
- The original statement file kept against the import
02Checking the reading4 items
- Running balance walked from line to line
- Printed totals, opening and closing balances matched where the bank prints them
- Pages that yielded no rows flagged as missing
- A failed check says where, for example the first line the balance breaks
03Suggestions6 items
- Your previous decision first, per client and bank ledger
- Rules for bank charges, interest, cash, TDS, loan EMIs and salary
- A rule suggests only when exactly one ledger in the company answers
- AI chooses from the company's own ledger list, or declines
- An AI pick below 60 per cent confidence still needs your decision
- Every suggestion shows where it came from
04Deciding6 items
- Filters for Needs a decision, Suggested, Approved, Posted and Failed
- A searchable picker of the company's ledgers, grouped by Tally group
- Nothing can be typed that Tally does not have
- One choice approves every similar undecided line
- Set a ledger for many lines, or approve all suggestions at once
- Undo sends an approved line back to review
05Posting to Tally6 items
- One Receipt, Payment or Contra voucher per approved line
- The bank's narration carried into the voucher as it is
- Ledgers, voucher type, balance and date checked before sending
- Lines already in Tally for those dates skipped
- The next voucher number assigned where a type numbers manually
- Posted lines show the voucher id Tally gave them
06Around it3 items
- A Ledger tab on every client, with that client's imports
- An imports register with period, lines, posted count and status

Find Ledger in the demo
Open the demo and choose Ledger from the menu. Importing a statement and posting both need the Windows connector, with your client's company open in Tally.
